David J. Lee

David Lee received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2010 after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. During his time at Santa Clara University, David served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. William J. Monahan of the California Superior Court and was named a Research Fellow for the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute of Public Policy. He also clerked for the United States Attorney's Office and served as Technical Editor of the Santa Clara Journal of International Law.

David's practice is focused primarily on estate and incapacity planning and trust and probate administration. He assists the firm's clients in trust and estate formation, including the preparation of living trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney for health and finance, as well as trust administration, probate, incapacity planning and general litigation matters. Prior to joining Sweeney, Mason, Wilson & Bosomworth in 2012, David was an associate attorney for a general practice law firm in Beverly Hills.

David is a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and was named a Rising Star in Northern California by Super Lawyers in 2017. David is a member of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and active in local bar associations and Bay Area service organizations.

David lives in San Jose with his wife and enjoys hiking, Santa Clara University athletics and competing in running events throughout California.
